Baseball Recap: Loyola Academy Ramblers vs. Brother Rice Crusaders
Loyola Academy extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 9-16 in the process. They came up short against the Brother Rice Crusaders, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 on Monday.
As for Brother Rice, they pushed their record up to 24-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won 13 matches by six runs or more so far this season.
For Brother Rice's part, not much got past Danny Sheehan, who gave up just five hits to keep Loyola Academy off the board. Sheehan has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jackson Natanek, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Cartolano, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
