Recap: Statesboro Blue Devils vs. Greenbrier Wolfpack
The Statesboro Blue Devils stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greenbrier 73-44 at home. Winning may never get old, but Statesboro sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Statesboro's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ja'caiden Cone, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. Cone hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Kamron (kam) Mikell was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Statesboro has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Greenbrier, they dropped their record down to 9-13 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Statesboro will take on the Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ware County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Greenbrier, they will be playing at home against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
