Basketball Recap: Capital HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Capital HomeSchool blew Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers got their revenge. Capital HomeSchool fell just short of the Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers Mustangs by a score of 63-60. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Capital HomeSchool came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers is ranked 370th).

Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aidan Porter out in front who went 7 for 14 on his way to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Redmond, who shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

Capital HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Capital HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers, they will host FAITH HomeSchool at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. FAITH HomeSchool will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Mid-Michigan HomeSchoolers surely won't give up without a fight.
