Basketball Recap: Newtown Has No Trouble Against Cardozo

Newtown hadn't done well against Cardozo recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Newtown Pioneers took down the Cardozo Judges 38-23. For the Pioneers, this counts as revenge for the 62-19 victory the Judges walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2016.

Newtown now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Cardozo, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Jamaica the next time they take the court. Cardozo will head out to face Jamaica at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Newtown will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
