Basketball Recap: Chattooga Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Chattooga won the last time they faced Gordon Central and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Chattooga Indians enjoyed a cozy 52-34 victory over the Gordon Central Warriors. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Warriors are ranked 458th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chattooga is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Gordon Central, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chattooga will take on Dade County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chattooga will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Gordon Central, they will face off against Armuchee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Armuchee has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 179 points over their last three matches.
