Baseball Recap: Jupiter Christian Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Jupiter Christian rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Miami Christian Victors 8-7. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Victors on Monday, they had to take a 5-3 loss.

The team relied heavily on Jaden Kostura, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camble Ray, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Jupiter Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Miami Christian, they moved to 12-16 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Victors beat Jupiter Christian by a score of 10-1 on Thursday.
