Football Recap: Nueva Esperanza Comes Up Short at Home Against Imhotep Charter

Nueva Esperanza unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the Imhotep Charter Panthers and fell 37-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The victory (which was Imhotep Charter's fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nueva Esperanza will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Olney at 4:00 p.m. on April 29. As for Imhotep Charter, they will square off against Saul at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
