Marquette won the last time they faced Kirkwood and things went their way  on Wednesday too. The Mustangs were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the Pioneers. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Mustangs.
 While Marquette won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  third set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14,  25-23.
Marquette found their leader in freshman  Camille Plunkett, who  had seven  digs and two  aces.
 Marquette  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 11  aces. That's the most  aces they've posted  in their last six  matches.
Marquette's victory bumped their record up to 18-16. As for Kirkwood,  with the  loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-12-1.
 Looking ahead, Marquette will look to defend their home court  on Saturday against St. Joseph's Academy  at 12:00  p.m. Kirkwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
