Baseball Recap: Grandview Bulldogs vs. Excelsior Springs Tigers
Grandview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 4-1 to the Excelsior Springs Tigers. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.
Grandview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Terry, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Grandview's loss dropped their record down to 10-12-2. As for Excelsior Springs, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grandview will square off against Smithville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Excelsior Springs, they will venture away from home to challenge Smith-Cotton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Smith-Cotton will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
