Softball Recap: Moorefield Takes a Loss

Moorefield was the 15-9 winner over Hedgesville when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Yellow Jackets fell 11-8 to the Eagles on Saturday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Moorefield has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Hedgesville, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

Moorefield has already played their next match, a 4-2 defeat against Frankfort on the 15th. As for Hedgesville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-10 loss against Pendleton County on the 12th.
