Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Episcopal). They pulled ahead with an 82-81 photo finish over the Springfield Bulldogs on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Springfield still got an impressive performance from Chase Burches, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Burches a new career-high in steals (five). Dequane Davis was another key player, putting up 17 points along with seven assists and five steals.

Episcopal now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Springfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season.

Episcopal didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-62 defeat against Mamou on the 4th. Springfield has also already played their next contest, a 69-42 win against Amite on the 4th.
