Baseball Recap: Kodiak Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Soldotna

Kodiak faced Soldotna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bears came up short against the Stars, falling 10-0. The shutout was out of character for the Bears seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

This is the second loss in a row for Kodiak and nudges their season record down to 5-10. As for Soldotna, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-9-2.

Kodiak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Soldotna, they will challenge Redington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
