Baseball Recap: Murdock Comes Up Short

Murdock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 35th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 22-6 to the Prouty Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-5 back in March.

Murdock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Prouty, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9.

Looking ahead, Murdock will host Bromfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Prouty, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Millbury at 2:00 p.m. The Woolies' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
