It was a good run, but Sioux Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Tri-Valley Mustangs, falling 3-0. The Cossacks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Sioux Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Tri-Valley, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Coming up, Sioux Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Flandreau at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tri-Valley, they will square off against Parkston on Monday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
