Soccer Recap: Hinkley Comes Up Short

Hinkley lost against Northfield back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Thunder lost 8-0 to the Nighthawks. While losing is never fun, Hinkley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Northfield are ranked fourth).

Hinkley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-7-3 record this season. As for Northfield, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0-1.

Hinkley didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Denver East on the 7th. As for Northfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Denver North on the 7th.
