Baseball Recap: Palisades Comes Up Short

Palisades was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Mecklenburg Sabres. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sabres this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-3 last Tuesday.

Palisades saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Rowland, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Palisades' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for South Mecklenburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Palisades will challenge Olympic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Mecklenburg, they will face off against Sun Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
