Softball Preview: Columbus East Olympians vs. Jeffersonville Red Devils        
        
		
            
 After two games on the road, Columbus East is heading back home. They will take on the Jeffersonville Red Devils at 5:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both teams come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Friday, Columbus East earned  a  6-3 win over Connersville.
  Hermione Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in eight consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Savanna Sullivan, who  went 1-for-5 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Lola Watkins, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and a  triple.
 Meanwhile, Jeffersonville had just enough and edged Brownstown Central out  6-5 on Saturday.
 The team  relied heavily on  Brookelyn Miles, who  went 2-for-3 with a  triple and  an  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Abby Perissi, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Columbus East's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Jeffersonville, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record  this season.
