Soccer Recap: Grapevine Comes Up Short

Grapevine managed to keep up with Denton until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Grapevine Mustangs came up short against the Denton Broncos, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Broncos are ranked 46th).

Grapevine's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-2. As for Denton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0-1.

Grapevine wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against Ryan on the 4th. Denton has also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Colleyville Heritage on the 4th.
