Volleyball Recap: Clark/Willow Lake Finds Playoff Glory Versus Great Plains Lutheran

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Clark/Willow Lake had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Great Plains Lutheran Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in October.

Clark/Willow Lake was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-20.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jolie Lien, who had 30 digs and one assist. Lien has been hot, having posted 23 or more digs the last six times she's played. Nylah Vannelli was another key player, getting 20 digs.

Clark/Willow Lake's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-1. As for Great Plains Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 15-15.

Looking ahead, Clark/Willow Lake will square off against Roncalli on Tuesday. Great Plains Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
