Softball Game Preview: Samueli Academy Firewolves vs. Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros

The Samueli Academy Firewolves will head out on the road to square off against the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Samueli Academy has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Samueli Academy's offense. They lost 14-0 to Oxford Academy on Wednesday. The Firewolves have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Rancho Alamitos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Tustin.

Rancho Alamitos' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Samueli Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Samueli Academy might still be hurting after the 17-7 loss they got from Rancho Alamitos when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Samueli Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
