Basketball Recap: Chattahoochee Find Success

Gainesville came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Chattahoochee, but Brooklinne Dorr wouldn't allow it. The Chattahoochee Cougars snuck past the Gainesville Red Elephants with a 37-31 win on Saturday thanks in part to Dorr, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Gainesville had strong showings from Damaria Colburn, who had 11 points, and Jaucelyn Smith, who scored ten points.

Chattahoochee's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Gainesville, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chattahoochee Cougars duke it out with the Seckinger Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gainesville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Roswell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roswell has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
