Basketball Recap: Nashua-Plainfield Gets the Win

On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies beat the Central City Wildcats 54-50. The 54-point effort marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Nashua-Plainfield now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Central City, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Nashua-Plainfield will be home for the holidays to greet St. Ansgar at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Central City, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against North Linn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Linn will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Central City surely won't give up without a fight.
