Kyle Hand put up the most hits he's had since back in April on Wednesday. He scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Looking ahead, Hand and University of Detroit Jesuit will take on West Bloomfield at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cubs will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 159 places lower in Michigan), but they're not letting that get them down.
