Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Rosecrans Bishops vs. Wellington School Jaguars

The Bishop Rosecrans Bishops are taking a road trip to face off against the Wellington School Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-26, which was the final score in Bishop Rosecrans' tilt against Fisher Catholic on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bishops can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 715th, while the Irish are ranked 294th).

Meanwhile, Wellington School made easy work of Patriot Prep Academy on Wednesday and carried off a 50-29 win. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Wellington School has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Bishop Rosecrans, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

Bishop Rosecrans came up short against Wellington School in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 34-28. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Wellington School's Elodie Ware, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points in addition to six blocks and five rebounds.
