Soccer Game Preview: Battle Mountain vs. Denver East

The Battle Mountain Huskies are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will challenge the Denver East Angels at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Battle Mountain is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Vail Mountain on Thursday. Neither Battle Mountain nor Vail Mountain could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Denver East took care of business in their home opener last Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Legend.

Peyton Mendelsberg and Audrey Workman scored both of Denver East's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Battle Mountain might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Denver East in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Battle Mountain avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
