Baseball Game Preview: Jones Senior Trojans vs. Lejeune Devilpups

The Jones Senior Trojans will face off against the Lejeune Devilpups at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jones Senior is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They lost 15-4 to Southside. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since April 29, 2025.

Logan Murphy and Devin Coward did some serious damage despite the final result: Murphy went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Coward went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Murphy is becoming a predictor of Jones Senior's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, Lejeune fell victim to East Carteret and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Mariners, falling 16-0.
