Baseball Recap: Shasta Comes Up Short at Home Against West Valley

Shasta unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 9-5 to the West Valley Eagles on Friday. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Wolves when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ty Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Owen Boesiger was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Coming up, Shasta will be playing at home against Central Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Valley, they will challenge Red Bluff at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
