Spencerport is 7-1 against Churchville-Chili since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rangers will look to defend their home field against the Saints at 5:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Spencerport came up short against Rush-Henrietta and fell 8-5. The Rangers have struggled against the Royal Comets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Churchville-Chili entered their tilt with Gates Chili on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Spartans. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Bailey DiGiacomo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Churchville-Chili's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carly Carpenter, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Jordan Sassone also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Spencerport's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Churchville-Chili, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Spencerport skirted past Churchville-Chili 5-3 in their previous meeting back in April. Do the Rangers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
