After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wabeno/Laona, Gibraltar was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Florence Bobcats, posting a 49-20 win. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 52-0 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

The win got Gibraltar back to even at 1-1. As for Florence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibraltar will venture away from home to take on Algoma at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. The game will give the Vikings their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Florence, they will head out to challenge Luck at 2:00 p.m. on September 6.
