Volleyball Recap: West Platte Takes a Loss

West Platte lost against Plattsburg back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bluejays came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-14.

Despite the defeat, West Platte saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nora Meyerkorth had 11 digs and one assist.

Plattsburg can attribute much of their success to Izzy Parra, who had 15 digs and one assist. Parra is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

West Platte's loss dropped their record down to 17-15-2. As for Plattsburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. West Platte will head out to face off against Penney at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plattsburg, they will venture away from home to challenge East Buchanan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
