Basketball Recap: Austin Beats Salem for Their Second Straight Win

Austin won the last time they faced Salem, and Brynn Owens did her part to make sure it happened again. The Austin Eagles simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Salem Lions 67-24 thanks in part to Owens, who went 11 for 15 on her way to 26 points in addition to six steals and five assists. Her evening made it 24 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Austin and bumps their season record up to 20-3. As for Salem, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Austin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Salem, they will challenge Lanesville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lanesville will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Salem surely won't give up without a fight.
