Recap: Central Jaguars vs. Flomaton Hurricanes
The Central Jaguars pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Flomaton. Central has not had much luck with Flomaton recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Ellison, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Dakota Bowman, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Central has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Flomaton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-10.
Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ponce De Leon at 7:30 p.m. on January 20th. Ponce De Leon is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Flomaton, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cottage Hill Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. Cottage Hill Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Flomaton in Alabama (Cottage Hill Christian Academy is ranked 87th, while Flomaton is ranked 345th).
