Basketball Recap: Bridger Salvevold Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bainville

Culbertson won the last time they faced Bainville and things went their way on Friday too. The Culbertson Cowboys enjoyed a cozy 57-41 win over the Bainville Bulldogs.

Culbertson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bridger Salvevold, who posted 19 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Culbertson is undefeated when Salvevold posts 15 or more points, but 6-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Deen, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 10 points along with seven boards and six steals.

Culbertson's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Bainville, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Culbertson will welcome MonDak [Westby/Grenora] at 5:30 p.m. on February 22nd. Culbertson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Bainville has already played their next match (against Brockton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
