On Thursday,  everything came up roses for Kirkwood against LaVergne as the  team secured  a  40-9 win. The result was nothing new for the Cobras, who have now won five matchups by 21  points or more  so far this season.

  Josiah Claybrooks and  Miles Reding were among the main playmakers for Kirkwood as the former rushed for 102 yards and a pair of  TDs on only 14 carries and the latter threw for 215 yards and three  touchdowns on only 18 passes. Claybrooks' rushing production has been exceptional  as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 100  rushing yards.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Creek Wood, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Northwest 34-6.
The critical scores for Creek Wood came from  Ben Singleton,  Xavier Knight,  and  Odell Springer.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Creek Wood was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 213  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
