Volleyball Recap: Colonial Heights Takes a Loss

Colonial Heights lost against Thomas Dale back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Colonials fell 3-1 to the Knights. Colonials fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Knights since Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 22-25, 25-7.

Avery Hurley paced Colonial Heights' offense, picking up seven kills. Hurley got some help from Madison Schane and her four assists. Hurley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Colonial Heights and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Thomas Dale, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Colonial Heights will square off against rival Meadowbrook at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Thomas Dale is set to take on their familiar foe Dinwiddie at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
