Softball Recap: Beachwood Bison vs. Orange Lions

Beachwood had lost five straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-9 to make it six. They fell just short of the Orange Lions by a score of 22-21. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-20 back in April.

Lily Grover was cooking despite her team's loss, going 5-for-6 with six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Amaya Brown was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

As for Orange, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games.
