 After a string of five wins, the Donahue Catholic Shamrocks's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell to Babcock  39-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Donahue Catholic has scored all season.
 Donahue Catholic lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Erling Berg, who  scored eight points along with 11  rebounds and two  blocks. Berg is crushing the  rebound category: he's  posted at least eight every time he's  taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Isaac Loboda, who  scored eight points along with five  rebounds and three  steals.
 Babcock found their leader in underclassman  Jameson Habing, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and nine  rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Habing has scored at least a third of Babcock's points.  Nathan Allen was another key contributor,  scoring two points along with ten  rebounds and seven  assists.
 Donahue Catholic's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 14-3. As for Babcock, the  victory was  the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-9.
 Donahue Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against the King's at 7:00  p.m.  on January 26th. As for Babcock, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked  in Florida (The Classical Academy of Sarasota is ranked 688th, while the Trailblazers are ranked 671st).
