Basketball Recap: North Florida Christian Comes Up Short

North Florida Christian lost against Leon back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The North Florida Christian Eagles took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leon Lions.

It was another big night for Tanner Owens, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 17 boards for Leon. Owens is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Ayanah Wilkins was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

North Florida Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Leon, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13.

North Florida Christian has already played their next matchup, a 47-8 win against St. John Paul II on the 28th. Leon has also already played their next contest (against FAMU DRS), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
