Recap: Gunter Tigers vs. Blue Ridge Tigers
The Gunter Tigers put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Blue Ridge 54-0 at home. Fans of Gunter have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Walker Overman went supernova for Gunter, throwing for 138 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Cannon Lemberg was another key contributor, picking up 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Gunter's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Blue Ridge, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Gunter will be playing at home against Trinity Leadership at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Leadership will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Blue Ridge, they will take on Scurry-Rosser at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Scurry-Rosser will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
