Soccer Recap: Lumberton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lumberton and Wake Forest squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Lumberton had to settle for second. They lost 4-0 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Lumberton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Wake Forest are ranked 90th).

This is the second loss in a row for Lumberton and nudges their season record down to 9-11-1. As for Wake Forest, they pushed their record up to 11-7-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Lumberton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wake Forest, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against New Hanover on the 6th.
