Basketball Game Preview: Oldham County Colonels vs. Eastern Eagles

The Oldham County Colonels are taking a road trip to challenge the Eastern Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oldham County is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Oldham County came up into this matchup off a tough 37-point defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Carroll County by a score of 52-50 on Monday.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Eastern took on Shawnee on Monday. Eastern walked away with a 74-64 victory over Shawnee.

Eastern's win bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Oldham County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.

Everything came up roses for Oldham County against Eastern when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oldham County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
