Baseball Game Preview: Westbrook Christian Warriors vs. Lewis County Panthers

The Westbrook Christian Warriors will take on the Lewis County Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Westbrook Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Lewis County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Westbrook Christian's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when Hokes Bluff hitters got past them. The Warriors fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 11-9 on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Lewis County owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They came out on top against Springville by a score of 5-0.

The result came thanks to Kolt Skelton's shutout, as he gave up just five hits.

At the plate, Maddox Tanner was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Westbrook Christian dropped their record down to 17-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Lewis County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.
