Football Game Preview: Dunseith Dragons vs. Surrey Mustangs

The Dunseith Dragons will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Surrey Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-14, which was the final score in Dunseith's tilt against Westhope/Newburg/Glenburn on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Sioux: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Surrey played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 36-6 defeat at the hands of Towner-Granville-Upham. The Mustangs were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Dunseith's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Surrey, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-7.

Dunseith took a serious blow against Surrey in their previous matchup back in September of 2023, falling 58-26. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
