Basketball Recap: East Paulding Takes a Loss

East Paulding was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the South Paulding Spartans, falling 76-41. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, with their most recent loss being a 64-49 defeat back in January.

Despite the loss, East Paulding still got an impressive performance from Jonah Hess, who went 5 of 11 to rack up 12 points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds Hess has posted since back in December of 2024. Malik Jordan was another key player, putting up eight points.

East Paulding's loss dropped their record down to 5-21. As for South Paulding, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

As of now, neither East Paulding nor South Paulding have any future games scheduled.
