Softball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.65 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 14-3 to the Atascocita Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on March 4th.

King's loss dropped their record down to 14-8-1. As for Atascocita, their victory bumped their record up to 17-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as King Panthers challenge College Station Cougars at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. College Station's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so King's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Atascocita, they will be taking part in a tournament against Cesar E. Chavez at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cesar E. Chavez will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Atascocita surely won't give up without a fight.
