This season hasn't been kind to the Liberty Christian Academy Knights, who are still winless after their seventh game. They were dealt a 67-33 defeat at the hands of Cornerstone Christian Academy on Thursday. Liberty Christian Academy has not had much luck with Cornerstone Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Liberty Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryan Bunnells, who scored ten points. Andrew (AJ) Barrett was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Joseph Lemmon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cornerstone Christian Academy, scoring 35 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lemmon has scored at least a third of Cornerstone Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Bennett, who scored 16 points.
Liberty Christian Academy's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Cornerstone Christian Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
