It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Winfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Sissonville Indians 4-2. The win continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won seven in a row.

Winfield's record is now 19-6. As for Sissonville, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-5.

Coming up, Winfield is taking a road trip to square off against Logan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Generals 3.3, the Wildcats 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Sissonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
