Basic extended their postseason success on Saturday against Doral Academy Red Rock. They put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 17-6 victory. Considering the Wolves have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Mia Frias, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Paytyn Burningham was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Basic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. They are 12-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Basic has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 24-5 record.
