Volleyball Game Preview: Navarre Raiders vs. Gulf Breeze Dolphins

Navarre hasn't had much luck against Gulf Breeze recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Raiders will look to defend their home court against the Dolphins at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Navarre took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Destin.

Navarre had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Gulf Breeze got the win against Niceville on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dolphins.

Gulf Breeze never let Niceville on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-23.

Gulf Breeze's win came from a few key players Navarre will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bella Ciolino, who had eight digs and four aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brynn Pinkston, who had 14 assists and three digs.

Navarre's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Gulf Breeze, their victory bumped their record up to 20-3.
