Baseball Game Preview: Burroughs Bears vs. Bell Eagles

The Burroughs Bears will face off against the Bell Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Burroughs 2.6, Bell 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Burroughs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over St. Anthony. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

South Gate typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Bell proved too difficult a challenge. They won by a run and slipped past the Rams 4-3.

The team relied heavily on Gustavo Ramirez, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025. Manuel Solis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Burroughs' record now sits at 14-3. As for Bell, their record is now 17-2.
